2015 Wardrobe Post

My lolita wardrobe started in 2006 when I bought this skirt in Japan.

It's offbrand, and definitely out of style, but I like to keep it around to remind myself of how far I've come in 9 years. My wardrobe is admittedly small for that long of a period, but that's all right with me.I've managed to keep an interest in lolita for this long with a limited wardrobe, and I don't think that's going to change anytime soon, so I know my wardrobe will only grow with even more time.

Clearly I have a strong preference for Alice and the Pirates, but I was glad to have branched out to various brands lately. I'd like to get some Excentrique pieces, and I've been impressed with Meta lately too. I'm currently trying to lose more weight with more JetJ as a reward~ In general, I'd like to get more basics and accessories as well in order to do various coords with my current main pieces. I have a bad habit of reusing coords. I should also try to stop being lazy and start crafting things. I'm not a very good crafter, but I'm not going to get any better by not even trying. These are my lolita new years resolutions along with continuing to update ANTL~

Year in Lolita: October, November, December

October, November, December 2014
Location: Florida

Happy belated New Years! I fell behind on my year in lolita, so to catch up I'm just going to combine the last three months of 2014 in one post. Sorry it's picture heavy!

October was a super exciting month. The boyfriend came to visit me from Hawaii and we went on an Orlando adventure. I went to the Garden View Tea Room for the first time. Actually, it was the first time I had ever been to the Grand Floridian too. Everything was so nice, from the food to the service to the view~

I decided to wear Wonder Queen to go with the Disney theme~I was glad a lot of the hotel employees guessed I was the Queen of Hearts. Since our reservation was mid afternoon we didn't have time to go to a park that day, so instead we walked around Downtown Disney.

Our whole week in Orlando was a lot of fun. Especially the food and wine festival in EPCOT. I met up with friends I hadn't seen in a while, and stuffed my face with amazing food, so it was a good day~

Of course the best part of October is Halloween! It had been a while since I've celebrated Halloween in Florida, so I'm not really that familiar with events around my area. Either way, there was a local meet up for tea earlier in the month that was gothic-themed for Halloween. I had just bought Funeral Procession of Rose at AWA, so I decided to be a ghost attending their own funeral...or something like that...

I really wanted the pill box hat that went with the series, but it was out of my price range, so I made one instead. I'm not much of a crafter, but I was proud of my silly little hat~
On the actual day of Halloween, the boyfriend and I were matching vampires~

Vampire Prelude for Halloween!

November was a slightly uneventful month for me. I did go out in lolita, mostly with just friends and for my birthday, but I didn't take any pictures. So, just gunna move on to Decemeber~ I did quite a bit last month. For starters, a friend came down to visit for International Lolita Day, so we got together for some lunch and a little shopping. I hadn't seen her since AWA so it was nice to catch up.

Thank you random lady for taking our pic!

Every year our local symphony puts on the Nutcracker. I hadn't gone to a showing since elementary school, so I wanted to go this year. I had just bought a Baby capelet, and it was actually cold that day, so I wanted to incorporate it into my coord. I tried to go for a Drosselmeyer doll look. The ginormous bow helped.

It was such a good show, even though there was a rowdy tot behind me smacking my head every once in a while...

The last event of the year was a New Years party with family and friends~

2014 was a crazy year for me. It was definitely a roller coaster of ups and downs, but I experienced so many new things, and made so many new friends. I can't say 2014 was a bad year at all. Here's to hoping that 2015 brings new adventures~
